Choose how the phone will attach and release
The TXED Phone Mount uses a four-corner claw grip and a quick-release mechanism for putting the phone in and taking it out. Start with this option when you want the holder to grip your phone directly. Include the case you actually ride with when checking fit: raised corners, side buttons and a camera bump can change where the claws sit.
Check the whole phone and handlebar arrangement
- Prepare the phone. Measure its width, height and thickness with the case fitted. Identify the volume and power buttons, camera bump and any corner that the holder must leave accessible. All four claws should engage the phone securely without holding a button down or resting only on a projecting part of the case.
- Choose the mounting space. Measure the handlebar diameter at the intended clamp position and check that there is enough clear, straight space. Keep the phone and holder clear of brake levers, cables, display and assist controls. With the bike stationary, turn the bars both ways and operate the controls to check clearance.
- Try attachment and removal. Install the holder using its instructions. Hold the phone while operating the quick release, seat it in the grip, and check that it is retained before letting go. Practice removing and replacing it while parked. If the holder shifts or a claw cannot engage, resolve the fit before riding.
Before ordering, send TXED support the phone model, case measurements, handlebar diameter and a photo of the proposed mounting position. Ask them to match that setup to this mount's clamp and grip range. A phone's screen diagonal alone does not describe the shape the holder needs to grip.
When a dedicated case connection may suit you
If you prefer to attach through a matching case or adaptor, compare Quad Lock's current bicycle kits and mounts. Choose the complete combination: a compatible phone case or Universal Adaptor plus the corresponding bicycle mount. This is a separate mounting system from the TXED claw holder.
For the adhesive Universal Adaptor, follow Quad Lock's surface and installation guidance. It specifies suitable smooth, non-porous surfaces and lists materials such as rubber and silicone as unsuitable. Its instructions call for a clean, dry surface, 24 hours for maximum adhesion and a bond check before use. Check the actual case material and the manufacturer's listed case models: its recommendations include a fine-textured polycarbonate case. If your particular surface is unsupported, choose a compatible dedicated case or another holder.
Set navigation while parked and stop before changing the route or handling an order. Take the phone with you when leaving the bike. Choose the system that fits your actual phone, leaves the controls clear and makes that repeated removal practical.
